Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Overview
DSE123 is a client-side web application designed for clinical workflow support in dobutamine stress echocardiography. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this tool. This policy explains what data we collect, what we don’t collect, and how the application is architected to protect patient information.
Data We Do NOT Collect
DSE123 does not collect, store, transmit, or process any of the following:
- Patient names, medical record numbers, or other identifiers
- Protected Health Information (PHI) of any kind
- Echocardiographic measurements or clinical data entered into the tool
- Login credentials or user accounts (there are none)
- IP addresses for tracking purposes
- Cookies for user identification or tracking
How DSE123 Works
DSE123 runs entirely in your web browser. All calculations, data entry, and report generation happen locally on your device. No patient data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party service. When you close the browser tab, all entered data is discarded unless you have explicitly generated and downloaded a PDF report.
Analytics Disclosure
We use Vercel Analytics to understand general usage patterns of the application (e.g., page views, device types, geographic regions). Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and operates without cookies. It collects only anonymous, aggregated data and does not track individual users or sessions. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
HIPAA-Conscious Architecture
DSE123 was designed with a stateless, privacy-first architecture. Because no Protected Health Information (PHI) is transmitted to or stored on any server, DSE123 operates outside the scope of HIPAA’s data handling requirements. The application functions as a local calculation tool within the clinician’s own device environment.
No Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is required to use DSE123, as no PHI is shared with the application or its infrastructure providers.
GDPR Compliance
DSE123 does not collect personal data as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). No consent mechanism is required because no personal data processing occurs. There is no data to access, rectify, or delete, as nothing is stored on our end.
Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are used in the delivery of DSE123:
- Vercel — Hosts and serves the web application. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of normal web hosting operations. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.
- Vercel Analytics — Anonymous, cookie-free usage analytics as described above.
- GitHub — Hosts the open-source codebase. No user data is shared with GitHub through the application.
PDF Reports
PDF reports are generated entirely within your browser using client-side rendering. The report content never leaves your device during generation. Once downloaded, the PDF file is saved to your local filesystem and is subject to your own institution’s data handling and storage policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of DSE123 after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
